Elkhorn Coral:
Below is a short video of Elkhorn Coral spawning in the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve in Rincon. Typically, every August after the full moon, this beautiful reproductive process termed 'broadcast spawning' takes place with branching and boulder corals around Puerto Rico. This particular video has researchers from the University of Pennsylvania collected gametes in collection apparatuses.
